Ration Card Reactivation for Security Personnel Families Without Fees.. Parliamentary Defense Committee Confirms Immediate Implementation
The Parliamentary Security and Defense Committee denied today, Wednesday (May 6, 2026), the existence of any financial fees for reactivating ration card items for families of security apparatus personnel, affirming that the Cabinet's decision to lift the suspension on these items is proceeding according to approved legal procedures, and immediately without any additional restrictions. Committee member MP Yasser Tut stated that yesterday's Cabinet decision regarding lifting the suspension on ration card items for families of security apparatus personnel is clear, and an immediate circular has been issued for its implementation. He added that there are no financial fees for reinstating ration card items for the included families, and the decision will be implemented without any restrictions or additional procedures, explaining that the suspension will remain on the included member only, with an exception for his family, so that ration items return directly to the families of officers and personnel. Tut confirmed that the circular was issued to expedite the implementation of the decision and its immediate application to all concerned parties. These clarifications come amid previous government decisions to suspend ration cards for families of security apparatus personnel, and to reorganize the ration card file in Iraq, which periodically undergoes modification or auditing procedures, aimed at ensuring that support reaches deserving categories.
