Government Affirms Absolute Sovereignty and Commitment to State Monopoly on Weapons

Government spokesperson Haider Al-Aboudi affirmed on Friday that Iraq is a fully sovereign state whose decisions are not subject to external dictations or internal pressures outside the framework of the law. Al-Aboudi explained that the government, led by Prime Minister Ali Al-Zaidi, places the enhancement of state sovereignty at the top of its priorities, noting that restricting arms to official institutions is a fundamental pillar in this direction. He praised the response of national forces and security institutions to the weapons handover initiatives, preventing any political exploitation. Separately, the spokesperson addressed economic and service developments, confirming that public sector salaries are fully secured and that the Prime Minister is personally monitoring the fuel supply file to ensure smooth operations in the coming days.
