Economic Expert Warns of Worsening Living Conditions Due to New Taxes

An economic expert warned that current fiscal policies are placing Iraqi citizens at risk, noting that relying on domestic taxes and fees to address the financial deficit will lead to a sharp rise in prices and exacerbate social conditions. He affirmed that the absence of comprehensive economic planning and the decline of productive sectors prevent finding sustainable solutions to living crises, calling for a review of revenue collection mechanisms and supporting the private sector instead of increasing pressures on it.
