Prime Minister Receives Representatives of Resident Doctors to Discuss Demands and Avert Strike Crisis
Iraqi Prime Minister Ali Faleh Al-Zaidi held a meeting with representatives of rotating resident doctors working in health institutions affiliated with the Ministry of Health. Government sources reported that the meeting was dedicated to listening to the challenges facing medical staff and exploring possible ways to address them. This urgent meeting follows an announcement by senior resident doctors across hospitals of their intention to comprehensively suspend work, in protest against the lack of response to their professional demands, which they describe as legitimate and legally guaranteed. The move aims to contain the crisis and ensure the uninterrupted provision of healthcare services to citizens.
