Wasit Police Intervene at the Last Moment to Save Two Youths from Suicide Attempt
Wasit Governorate police patrols successfully thwarted a suicide attempt by two young men who tried to jump from the top of the Kut Barrage. The Police Command stated that its security detachments on site intervened immediately and decisively upon noticing the situation, preventing a tragedy at the very last moment. Authorities confirmed that the youths were referred to the Community Police department to receive psychological support, investigate the underlying motives for their actions, and ensure all necessary legal and humanitarian measures are taken.
