London Welcomes Al-Zaidi's Appointment.. Affirms Work on Urgent Challenges

The United Kingdom welcomed Ali Al-Zaidi's appointment as Prime Minister of Iraq.

The British Ambassador to Iraq stated in a social media post that "the United Kingdom welcomes the appointment of a new Prime Minister in Iraq."

He added: "We wish Ali Al-Zaidi success in quickly forming a new government," noting that "we look forward to working with the new government on the urgent challenges facing Iraq - particularly in the fields of security and economy."
