Baghdad Traffic Activates New Field Procedures to Alleviate Congestion Near Green Zone

A security source reported that the commander of the Green Zone traffic sector has directed the implementation of new field organizational measures at the entrances to the Green Zone, including setting up barriers and traffic guidance aimed at reducing congestion and improving traffic flow. This step comes as part of organizing vehicle movement and preventing bottlenecks, especially during peak hours, in addition to educating citizens to avoid heading directly to the area unless necessary. These procedures aim to reduce traffic jams and improve entry and exit management, at a time when the area is witnessing heightened security measures coinciding with important parliamentary sessions.
