Severe Dust Wave Expected to Hit Iraq Next Friday
The General Authority for Meteorology and Seismic Monitoring predicted that the country will be exposed to a severe dust wave starting next Friday, significantly affecting western, central, and southwestern regions of Iraq. It indicated that the wave results from the push of a moderate air mass accompanied by active northwesterly winds ranging between 50 and 60 km/h, which will lead to a noticeable decline in horizontal visibility. It called on citizens, especially allergy and asthma patients, to take necessary precautions.
