Basra Trade Union Demands Investigation Into Sewage Worker's Death

The Federation of Trade Unions in Basra called for an immediate investigation on Friday following the death of a worker inside a sewage pumping station in central Basra. Federation President Ahmed Fahmi Al-Khafaji emphasized that occupational safety is an uncompromisable responsibility, urging authorities to inspect safety compliance, hold negligent parties accountable, and ensure essential protective gear is provided across all work sites.
