Israel Issues Military Directives to Prevent Iran from Acquiring Nuclear Weapons
The Israeli Defense Minister announced the issuance of joint directives with the Prime Minister to raise the military's readiness aimed at preventing Iran from acquiring nuclear weapons. In press statements, the Defense Minister emphasized the necessity of ensuring Israel's ability to act independently to neutralize any potential Iranian nuclear threat. He also expressed his government's expectation that the US administration will maintain its firm stance regarding Iran's nuclear program, ballistic missile development, and the actions of Tehran's proxies in the region. At the same time, he stressed that Israel will not withdraw from its strategic presence on the fronts of Lebanon, Syria, and Gaza.
