Ministry of Transport Announces the Completion of Berth and Waterfront Planning at the Northern Umm Qasr Port to Enhance Flow
The Ministry of Transport announced that the technical teams at the Northern Umm Qasr Port have completed the surface planning for the berths and the waterfront, equipping them with signs and instructions to organize truck movement and ensure workflow smoothness in accordance with approved international standards. The senior management of the General Company for Ports of Iraq explained that this project is in implementation of ministerial directives aimed at facilitating transportation within the port and raising the organizational awareness of both workers and drivers. The works also included the rehabilitation of service facilities and warehouse facades, adding an aesthetic and organizational touch that reflects the strategic importance of this vital facility and highlights its leading economic and service position in supporting the country's transport and trade sector.
