Parliamentary Demands to Shield Iraq from US Sanctions Repercussions and Facilitate Travel
mesoiraq - The Construction and Development Parliamentary Bloc expressed deep concern over the potential repercussions of US sanctions imposed on Iranian airlines, warning of their negative impact on Iraq's economic interests. In an official statement, the bloc noted that these measures could further complicate the regional situation and directly affect the travel and religious tourism sectors, placing additional burdens on travelers. The bloc urged the Iraqi government to initiate clear and direct diplomatic dialogue with Washington to secure exceptions or licenses that protect national interests, ensure the smooth flow of passenger movement, and shield Iraqi institutions from the risks associated with these sanctions.
