Erbil Under Fire.. Will Air Defenses Save the Kurdistan Region from Neighbors' Missiles?

Amid escalating missile and drone attacks, the Kurdistan Region finds itself exposed to crossfire it did not ignite, as confirmed by Kurdistan Democratic Party member Subhi Al-Mandalawi to "Rafidain News". Al-Mandalawi revealed that official statistics classify Kurdistan among the most targeted areas in Iraq, despite the region's strict neutrality and its refusal to allow weapons or opposition forces into Iran. He believes the attacks target the government's and the KDP's efforts to distance themselves, considering that the federal government's inability to handle threats endangers all of Iraq, not just the region.
