Large-Scale Operation Launched to Secure Desert Triangle Between Najaf, Karbala, and Al-Nukhaib

The Middle Euphrates Operations Command within the Popular Mobilization Forces announced the launch of a major military operation dubbed “Imposing Sovereignty” across four axes in the deserts of Najaf and Karbala, aiming to secure the route linking Karbala to Al-Nukhaib. 

The command said the operation is conducted under directives from the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces and under the supervision of the Army Chief of Staff, with participation from multiple formations including the Middle Euphrates, Karbala, and Anbar commands, as well as the PMF 2nd Brigade. 

It added that forces are carrying out search and sweep missions up to 70 kilometers deep, based on tightly coordinated plans and a high level of operational professionalism.
