Vehicle Overturns on Mountain Road in Sulaymaniyah Tragedy: Child Dies and Six Injured

A child died and six others were injured, one in critical condition, today, Friday (May 1, 2026), as a result of a car overturning on the mountainous Klar-Darbandikhan road south of Sulaymaniyah. Civil defense and ambulance teams rushed to the scene to transport the injured to the hospital for first aid and treatment. Preliminary traffic sources attributed the cause of the painful accident to excessive speed and loss of control over the steering wheel while navigating a sharp bend, a recurring factor in the bloody accidents witnessed on the region's mountain roads due to the absence of safety measures.
