A government statement affirmed that Al-Sudani places consumer protection and securing staple foods at affordable prices at the top of his priorities, and will not tolerate any inaction in this regard. Under the directive, the Ministerial Council for the Economy will prepare a detailed study that includes diagnosing points of failure in the supply chain, with findings to be submitted to the Council of Ministers to take the necessary urgent executive measures to restore price equilibrium.
