Anticipation of a Crucial Meeting to Schedule the Completion of Al-Zaidi's Cabinet

Political circles close to the Coordination Framework revealed on Friday efforts to hold an important meeting early next week to resolve the issue of vacant ministries in Prime Minister Ali Al-Zaidi's government. Coordination Framework member Abdul Samad Al-Zarkoushi explained that the upcoming meeting aims to reach final understandings leading to scheduling a parliamentary session dedicated to voting on the remaining portfolios. Al-Zarkoushi suggested that the parliamentary session could be held by the end of next week if a consensus is reached, confirming a political consensus on the need to accelerate the completion of the government formation. This is particularly urgent given current challenges that require full and effective management, especially in security and service ministries. It is noteworthy that the Parliament previously granted a vote of confidence to the current government, leaving several ministries vacant pending political agreement.
