One Dead and Several Injured in an Armed Attack Targeting a Security Patrol in Zahedan, Iran

An Iranian internal security forces patrol in the city of Zahedan, the capital of Sistan and Baluchestan province, was subjected to an armed attack that resulted in the death of one security personnel and the injury of three others with various wounds. According to field details, unknown gunmen initiated a barrage of bullets this morning at the patrol while it was performing its routine duties in maintaining community security. Immediately, security apparatuses imposed a tight cordon around the incident site and launched combing and pursuit operations to track down the perpetrators and bring them to justice.
