Giant Iranian Oil Tanker Breaches US Surveillance and Reaches Indonesian Waters
International maritime tracking reports indicated that a massive Iranian oil tanker bypassed US surveillance and blockade barriers, successfully reaching Indonesian territorial waters. The reports explained that the tanker owned by the National Iranian Oil Company, loaded with about 1.9 million barrels of crude oil valued at an estimated $220 million, managed to evade global tracking systems. The data noted that the vessel was last spotted near the coast of Sri Lanka a week ago and is currently heading towards the Indonesian Riau Archipelago after intentionally turning off its automated tracking systems to avoid detection.
