The measures require tracking the sources of animals and subjecting them to periodic testing before entering markets to prevent the transmission of disease-carrying ticks. Despite challenges such as extensive transport routes and the need for specialized personnel, health authorities stressed the necessity of balancing public health protection with safe commercial activity, calling for enhanced tracking systems and intensified barn spraying campaigns.
