Security Forces Impose Cordon in Maysan, Arrest Suspects Following Armed Conflict

Security apparatuses in Maysan Governorate executed a joint security and military operation in the Qalat Saleh district, south of the province, to control an armed conflict that erupted due to previous disputes. The Police Command clarified that a joint force from the South Maysan Police Directorate and Iraqi Army units intervened immediately, imposing a strict security cordon around the incident area to prevent further escalation. Raids and search operations targeting the conflicting parties resulted in the arrest of one of the main suspects involved in the shooting, along with the confiscation of several unlicensed weapons and ammunition used in the altercation. Necessary legal measures have been taken against the detainee pending judicial referral.
